The proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the ministry of the Word of God is, has, and will always be the central focus of pulpit ministry. The Bible teaches that God's word is a "lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path."  Jesus prayed that we would be sanctified (set apart) by the truth and God's word is truth. It is through the Word of God that we draw near to Him, our faith increases, we are discipled and encouraged to stand strong in a world that has grown hostile to the Christian faith. It is our faith in the God of the Word and the Word of God that guides everything we do. In a rapidly changing world, it is of immense comfort to know we can be guided by God's unchanging truth and timeless wisdom.
