Site Leader: Joan Deal

During the school year we serve as a site for the highly lauded Oklahoma City Whiz Kids after school program. Volunteers from local churches develop a Christ-centered relationship with the children assigned to them. On Mondays after school the Whiz Kids come to the site to read books, have snacks and experience God's love. Joan Deal has been the Baptist Temple site coordinator for many years, and she pours her heart and soul into this very effective literacy program that makes a real difference in the lives of the children who participate.
